Israeli Warplanes Strike Targets in Gaza Strip, No Injuries

Israeli artillery also joined in the attack, firing shells at locations in the South of the Gaza Strip, also without causing any injuries, WAFA reported.

Witnesses said the aircrafts and the artillery fired missiles and shells at agricultural land and a waste dump in Rafah, in the South of the Gaza Strip.

Shrapnel hit homes in the area causing damage and fire as well as panic among residents who had to take cover to avoid being hit.

The air and land attack came after four projectiles were fired from Gaza and landed in an open area inside Israel on Wednesday, according to Israeli army reports.

No one was hurt and no damage was caused while it took the army several hours to try and locate the area where the projectiles had fallen.

The Gaza Strip has been under an Israeli siege since June 2007. The blockade has caused a decline in the standards of living as well as unprecedented levels of unemployment and unrelenting poverty.

The Tel Aviv regime has waged several wars on Gaza since 2008. Thousands of Gazans have been killed or maimed in the Israeli offensives and a significant portion of infrastructure there has been destroyed.

The Israeli regime denies about 1.8 million people in Gaza their basic rights, such as freedom of movement, jobs with proper wages as well as adequate healthcare and education.

The United Nations says the overall situation will make Gaza uninhabitable by 2020.
