The head of Sudan’s rapid support forces said 412 servicemen of the North African country, which is part of the Saudi-led coalition attacking Yemen, have been killed in the aggression against the Yemeni people.
Speaking to the Sudanese newspaper Al-Jarida, Mohammed Hamdan Hamidati revealed that 412 Sudanese servicemen, including 14 officers, have been killed in the conflicts in Yemen.
However, sources in the Yemeni army and Popular Committees say the real number of the deaths is almost double the figure announced by the commander of the Sudanese rapid support forces, Yemenpress reported on Wednesday.
Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the coalition for more than two years but Riyadh has reached none of its objectives in Yemen so far.
Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.
Over 12,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.
