Iranian FM Spokesman: Killing Civilians in Yemen Violate Human Rights

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Bahram Ghasemi said that the escalation of attacks on residential areas, killing of

civilians in Yemen and blocking international aid to the affected people is a blatant violation of human rights principles.

Ghasemi strongly denounced Friday’s Saudi air strike on Khokha market in Yemen’s port city of Hodeidah, which left 22 civilians dead and 10 other injured.

Ghasemi called upon the United Nations to handle their responsibility toward the war crimes against Yemeni civilians, stressing on the need to cease the war as soon as possible.
