First flight carrying Yemenis stranded in Egypt arrives in Sana’a
The first flight reached Sana’a International Airport today carrying Yemenis stranded in Egypt since the beginning of the Saudi-led Aggression on Yemen, 56 days ago on March 26. There were about 200 civilians on board of the plane which belongs to Yemen Airways Company.
The acting chairman of Yemen airways indicated that this is the first of many flights which will arrive respectively in Sana’a Airport carrying Yemenis who are stranded in Egypt and India. He also mentioned that some flights will arrive in Say’oon Airport in eastern Yemen.
The passengers were very happy to be back home and reunited with their families, and spoke of the suffering they faced abroad during the 56 days they were stranded.
Also, last week, during the supposed 5-day humanitarian truce, multiple flights arrived in Sana’a carrying Yemenis who were stranded in Jordan since the Aggression began.
