PM Meets UN Official, Heads of Humanitarian Organizations

Prime Minister Dr. Abdul Aziz Bin Habtoor met on Saturday with the UN Resident Coordinator, Jamie McGoldrick, and heads of a number of international organizations working in the humanitarian field in Yemen.

The meeting discussed the disastrous implications of the continuation of the aggression and the siege imposed on Yemen in the humanitarian, economic and health aspects and the international support required in field.

It also touched upon mechanisms of the coordination between the government and the UN coordinator and other organizations in the humanitarian and relief projects carried out by those organizations.

Valuing the organizations’ humanitarian efforts, Bin Babtoor expressed his hope for expanding those effort to include all areas in Yemen to meet the increasing needs in relief, humanitarian and medical fields.

Dr. Bin Habtoor emphasized that the government would provide all aspects of support and facilities necessary for the success of the humanitarian organizations’ work and activities in Yemen.
