Assiri’s: Lift the Yemen Siege Is Ridicul

A source in Supreme Political Council in Yemen has ridiculed of ,on Tuesday , coalition spokesman Major General Ahmed Assiri`s speech to  AFP , when he said there is no blockade imposed on Yemen by Saudi-led Coalition.

The Source added in a press statement to Seba ”  Yemen has been under blockade since March 2015, “aircraft from humanitarian organizations and the United Nations” can land or take off from rebel-controlled capital Sanaa”

The United Nations food agency has warned that the malnutrition resulting from Saudi Arabia’s blockade against Yemen may end up crippling a whole generation.

The Saudi airstrikes hit Sanaa International Airport , economic establishments, infrastructures, and  the Red Sea port of Hodeida, the main point of entry for most goods into Yemen.

Saudi-led blockade, which is also being enforced in the air and on land , leaves more than  20m Yemenis facing humanitarian disaster.

Aid agencies say embargo imposed by US  and Saudi Arabia  has had dramatic effect, with almost 80% of population in urgent need of food, water and medical supplies.

Nearly 8000 people have been killed in Yemen, more than half of them civilians, an additional three million have been displaced and millions more need food aid.
