YPC Announces the End of the Fuel Crisis in All of Yemen- Report

Yemen Petroleum company announced on Saturday the end of the crisis of oil derivatives in the Yemeni capital and the rest of the provinces.

The spokesman of the oil company Amin al-Shabati said that earlier today, at dawn, large quantities of gasoline were provided to various stations within the Yemeni capital and its suburbs, along with the rest of the provinces, to cover the needs of citizens of gasoline.

He said in a statement to Yemen’s Agency (Saba) that all gasoline stations were opened at 7 am and started selling gasoline non-stop to citizens, including the company’s stations, especially the al-Nemothgiah station, which has resumed its activities for the first time in a while after maintenance from the intense damaged caused by a Saudi-led airstrike that targeted the company’s station last year.

The spokesman assured that the process of loading oil derivatives from the facilities of Hodeidah is still active without interruption to ensure the stability of the portion, stressing that the amounts of petroleum are in large capacities and there is no need for panic and overcrowding in the Filling stations.

In addition, he added that citizens can supply their needs of gasoline easily because the amounts discharged in the gas stations are sufficient and able to end the crisis in record time.

Al-Shabati said that the oil company has adopted a system of control over the stations selling through the web, which enables it to follow all the stations of the Republic very closely and to ensure that citizens can benefit from this service to comprehend the working stations and their geographical location.

The spokesman of the company noted that the aggression is still holding 11 oil vessels, warning that the continued detention of oil derivatives vessels will lead to the return of the oil crisis and the disastrous consequences on the homeland, citizens and the cessation of life as a whole, shouldering the aggression and native mercenaries the responsibility for the consequences.

At the end of his statement, he called upon the Yemeni citizens to stand with the company and go to the sit-in located front of the United Nations Office to demand the UN to take its humanitarian and legal obligation by pressing on the coalition of aggression to immediately release all the vessels in custody and ensure that they will not be subjected to any future obstacles.
